Fantasy Portfolio – May 15

Last night, I updated my positions for this post while I was at home before I went to a wedding. I figured that I could write the rest from my phone while we were between the wedding and the reception. Somehow my phone didn’t save what I was working on when I told it to publish the post, and it left an unfinished sentence. It was also a very short post. My apologies.
I decided to make several changes to my portfolio this week. With the spike in the price of gold and AEM, I made sure to take some profits off the table to secure those gains.
Another move I decided to make was to dump KO for PEP since I have MCD in my portfolio. Coke and McDonald’s rely on each other for profits so I figured it would be good to diversify a little more there.
I also added JPM and AAPL to my portfolio. It is always a good idea to have a well performing bank stock in your holdings, and JPM is the best one out there right now. AAPL was a play on the recent tech rally. It pulled back about 10%, so I decided to jump in for when tech continues to rally.
